Non-surgical rhinoplasty

Hyaluronic acid may disguise small contour irregularities of the nose. It is not the same as surgical rhinoplasty.

This page provides general information and does not replace an individual medical consultation. Indication, product, technique and treatment plan are decided only after assessment; not every treatment is suitable for every person.

What it is

Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses hyaluronic acid to make limited changes to the nasal profile, such as disguising a small contour irregularity. Because filler adds volume, it cannot make a nose smaller.

What is assessed

The profile, skin, breathing, previous surgery and relationship between the nose, forehead, lips and chin are considered. Many concerns are not suitable for filler and require a surgical opinion.

How treatment is carried out

The doctor assesses the profile, skin, breathing and any previous surgery. If appropriate, small quantities are placed after medical history and informed consent. Detailed technique is deliberately not described online.

Limits and alternatives

This procedure is not equivalent to rhinoplasty. It cannot reduce size, correct septal deviation or improve breathing. Surgical advice, or no intervention, may be the appropriate option.

What the literature says

Systematic and narrative reviews report favourable satisfaction in selected patients but also confirm that the nose is a high-risk vascular area. The procedure is suitable only for limited contour concerns and cannot correct function or reduce size.

Risks and unwanted effects

Filler adds volume: it cannot make the nose smaller or correct breathing problems. The nose has a particularly delicate blood supply; vascular occlusion can cause skin injury and, very rarely, visual impairment.

Contraindications and medical assessment

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, local infection or inflammation and allergy to components are contraindications. Previous nasal surgery requires particular caution and must always be disclosed.

Aftercare and follow-up

Individual aftercare instructions and a review are provided. Pain, skin-colour change or visual symptoms require immediate medical contact.

Frequently asked questions

Can filler make my nose smaller?

No. It adds volume to alter contour; it does not reduce the dimensions of the nose.

Is it an alternative to surgery?

Only for limited contour concerns. It is not equivalent to surgical rhinoplasty.
